Sending Email

Best practices for reliable delivery from MoovMail.

From the web app

Compose from the inbox or /compose. Outbound mail is sent through MoovMail servers with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC for your verified domain.

From desktop and mobile clients

Use IMAP for reading and SMTP for sending. Hostnames and ports are shown in Admin → Domain and in each user's Settings → Mail Config. A MoovMail app password is required for SMTP and IMAP — not the web login password. See IMAP & Outlook setup.

Deliverability checklist

  • Verify all DNS records (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
  • Use a From address on your verified domain.
  • Avoid sudden high-volume sends from new domains — warm up gradually.
  • Monitor Admin → Domain deliverability for limits and bounce stats.

Outbox and failures

If send fails, mail appears in Outbox. Common causes: no network, SMTP misconfiguration on server, or invalid recipients. Open the message for details and use Retry Send.

Scheduled and undo send

See Compose & Send for schedule send and undo send.

Group and shared mail

Send as a distribution group or shared mailbox when your admin has configured group mail or delegates.
